Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. She is most famous for her character, Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she was awarded the Emmy Award. Her roles include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. She was born as the only child of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a housewife, Delaney grew up with her four brothers. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed of becoming a reporter for the court. She began modelling in highschool and eventually gained commercial roles when she moved to New York. Her first appearance acting was as a young girl in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. The career of Delaney has been filled with a variety of television shows and dramas. The professional life she has had is better than her personal life. In the past, this accomplished actress battled the effects of alcohol and two marriages fall apart.
